I started my career over 20 years ago after graduating from Keene State College as a Marketing Communications Coordinator, where I was first introduced to the Adobe Suite of Design software.  My first assignment was to alter a cache of images that had old production dates on them, that I needed to update and then resize for multiple uses.  It was a big project that took me months to accomplish, but in the end, I was in love with Photoshop and begging my boss for more projects.  Several years later, in a new role I was taking on more and more design projects, designing hundreds of data sheets, a catalogue, a 100+ page product guide, tradeshow graphics, a website, brochures and so much more.

I found that the best days on my job were the days that were focused on design, and I began to dream of a day when I could just design for a living.

When my children came, I became a Marketing Communications consultant, and a school parent board volunteer.  Through this role, I was able to take on new and different clients, designing a new brand for an established local hair salon, create collateral for a local pizza joint, work on a website for a restaurant, and help the schools my children were attending improve upon their marketing with branding including new logos, websites, brochures, flyers and more.

After Covid, and facilitating remote learning, my children were all in full-time school, and my role was changing more, as I became the president of the elementary school Parent and Faculty Together (PFT), which was a very involved job working with administration, staff, parents, students and the community to help support our amazing school.  I started looking towards the future, and I wanted to finally start to fulfill my dream of becoming a full-time graphic designer.  In February of 2022, I enrolled as a Graphic Design and Media Arts major at Southern New Hampshire University.  Now, almost three years later, I am preparing to graduate and achieve my goal that has been almost 20 years in the making.
